These guys are definitly taking this genre in new directions with thier unique sounds and samples. Not one track uses the same sound/style. This 10 track EP by Aussie legend Nick Thayer completely blew me away!! Like i always considered him to be an amazing 'breaks' producer/DJ but i guess now that everyone is into the 110bpm it wasnt that far a stretch for him to adapt to this moombah style. Dont get me wrong he still has some mad drumstep and dub tracks on here aswell. But yeah all of these tracks are fucking ridiculous. Its so hard for me to name my favourite... This only got released a few days ago on Skrillex's label Owsla. I just bought the whole Ep then over at Beatport. I suggest you do the same!

Liquid Stranger has been making some of the dirtiest dub tracks for a while now and his tracks are constantly used by the likes of Excision, Datsik, Skism etc. Here he managed to jam 100 of the latest and greatest dub tracks on to this mixtape, with plenty of his own originals and remixes. Schools over for the year, so I can get back to posting some music. Its been a while since I have actually posted anything substantial so I thought I had better make up for lost time with this post. Here is some stuff from some artists who I have been really digging as of late.

Eats Everything, his name seems to be on everyones lips at the moment, he made everyone take notice with the aptly named track Entrance Song and now is scaling the Beatport charts at an alarming rate with the newly released self titled EP on Dirtybird. That little city of Bristol has produced another bass demon.

I saw this on Skrillex's Facebook page a few days ago and I must say I was instantly intrigued. Not only does this project involve a new Skrillex collaboration with the remaining members of The Doors, it also has other unlikely artists and producers teaming up. The idea was to place a DJ/producer out of their respective genre and team them up with a famous artist or producer of that genre and one that has been around for a while. I think the one I'm most excited about (apart from Skrillex) is Pretty Lights with Leann Rimes and 84 year old country legend Ralph Stanley. By the looks of this video the juxtaposition of these artists will be a thrill not only to listen to, but to watch how they each approach the music creation process as well.

I can't get my head around how awesome this track is. It's big, it's tight, it's clean, it's dirty, it makes me laugh & it gets me in to mood for good times.
Super airy chords, sustained female vocal hits & tight kick & snare set the mood of the into. Muching in at 28 seconds, is a wacked out delayed synth line, consisting of a messy hoover top layer & clean sine low end.
My fav parts is at 1:49. Tight kick & snare, vocal stabs & an epic clean sub baseline.

The comedian he has talking throughout this one is so dope, not to mention funny! Skrillex - First Of The Year Video

It's one thing to empathize with at-risk kids, or to speak up for them generally, but Skrillex takes it a step further -- and then further still -- in this stunning new video for the track "First of the Year (Equinox)."

On his More Monsters and Sprites EP, "First of the Year" begins with a fairly amiable, reggae-tinged stroll and squeakily pitched vocal, then shifts into a sprightly electro-house keyboard melody before a dubstep code-red breakdown explodes.

But in this clip, the song's melodic preamble also serves as an ominous backdrop for a creepy, would-be predator who's lurking outside a playground where young children are playing. The day is overcast, but something much darker is in the air, as a little girl leaves and the man walks after her. When she unexpectedly skips off to a dark, abandoned warehouse, he continues to follow, eventually entering a room where she's standing alone, holding a telephone receiver. The keyboards suddenly fade into a glitchier groove, and then, at the 1:25 mark, well, you gotta see for yourself.

Let's just say, this isn't your ordinary tyke.

Anything that comes out of the Bassnecter camp is pure genius so this was no suprise. He teamed up with another guy that I have been following for a while too, Ill Gates. He has got some super cool tracks out there, its definitly worth digging a litle deeper on him.

So 'Paper Planes' is defntitly one of the most sampled/remixed songs going round but that doesnt take anything away from the producers that use it. Its just so damn cool! This is an awesome take on it and carries on that cool vibe.

Both Caspa and Emalkay are considered dubstep roalty so it was only a matter of time before a track like this was created. The guitar riff in this reminds me of a Metallica song.. anyone else hear that?

Almost out of nowhere, Los Angeles’ Dillon Francis has broken from the throng of young electronic music dj/producers. With a stream of world-class remixes and releases, Dillon has caught the attention of some of the top players in club land, including Steve Aoki, Diplo, Will I. Am, Drop The Lime, Sinden, and Tittsworth to name some. In less than a year his blistering productions have been heavily supported by Major Lazer, who opened their show with “Westside!,” a Dutch House-flavored monster that was consistently rinsed by top djs on both sides of the pond, including Sinden and Steve Aoki. The tune is finally seeing a proper release on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, where Dillon will be releasing his “Masta Blasta” EP as well in the near future.. From his first dubstep release on Play Me Records, the heavy “Take Me High” peaked at No. 13 on the Beatport dubstep chart and was played in full by Rusko in every one of his sets for his current OMG tour. In the coming months, Dillon will have releases on Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Top Billin’, as well as Plant Music, where he will be releasing his next club EP. At ease behind the turntables and in the studio, in the electro world and in dubstep, Dillon is what you would call an open-format electronic dj who sees no delineation between making music and playing it. He has gotten huge support from the most important dance music blogs (Dim Mak, Mad Decent, Discobelle, Gotta Dance Dirty) ever since releasing his first bootlegs last year, and 2011 promises to be Dillon’s breakout year. Its so good to hear some fresh beats from Foamo cause it had honestly been way too long between tracks. I guess he must of just locked himself in his studio and went to town. The last few he has released have been in kind of a different direction to his earlier stuff but I'm really feeling it.

My boy Thrusher took it upon himself to remix Celestial. Love the fact that he kept a lot of the percussion throughout the track but as per usual he tweaked the hell out of it for a much more aggresive version than the original.
